Main Title
Joshua trees are very strange and unique plants. First, the Joshua tree has many things that it has to rely on. The first thing is the YUCCA MOTH. The Joshua tree relies on it because the moth helps pollinate it. Without the moth, Joshua trees wouldn't even exist! The next thing is the BORING WEEVIL. Even though it drills holes in the Joshua tree, it helps it branch! This is why Joshua trees have many queer, twisted branches. The LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE relies on the Joshua tree, too. It does because all Joshua trees have sharp needles. So this is what the loggerhead does. It catches its prey (a lizard, an insect, or maybe even a mouse) and then impales it on a needle! (It does so that other animals cannot reach it.) Then the loggerhead lets it get roasted in the sun. When the loggerhead comes back, it's all crunchy and yummy! Another important animal is the YUCCA NIGHT LIZARD. It is very picky. It relies on the Joshua tree. When the tree dies, the lizard takes it and makes its home in there! The Joshua tree can survive in the desert because it has a spongy, wet, water-bottle sort of thing in it. So it can drink when it wants to! The Joshua tree is not a tree because it has no growth rings.
